January 2015 Favourites

Hello everybody! 

Feels so strange that we're a month through in 2015 already, Christmas and New Years feel like yesterday. January has been a lovely month for me, and here are some of my favourite things from this month: 

V05 Plump It Up Amplifying Blow Dry Lotion

I've become a little bit dedicated to trying to get my hair in better condition, so when I saw this I thought I would give it a go. I blow dry my hair most days (something I'm trying to cut out!) so some heat defence is much needed. This states that it makes hair feel thicker, healthier, less frizzy and protects against heat and it has delivered on all of those promises! I would definitely recommend this to anyone for heat protection. 

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatment // Winter Remedy

Another attempt to look after my hair a little bit more, I've always loved Aussie products but they're a little pricey on a student budget so it's been a while since I bought some. I've been applying this once a week on a Sunday for about three weeks now after shampoo and conditioner, and it does make a difference! The day and couple of days after I use this, my hair is so soft and much more manageable than before.

Boujois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer

I came across this Boujois primer when Boots were out of stock of my regular Rimmel one, and now I prefer this one so much more! You only need about one pump to get a light layer on your face before applying makeup and it keeps my makeup looking fresh all day! This also hydrates your skin which is so important in the winter months.

Rimmel London Apocalips // 301 Galaxy 

I heard a lot about these so while having a browse in Superdrug I thought I would pick one up. I went for a deep purple shade as I'm loving that this winter! The colour is amazing but it sits well on my lips too. Sometimes with products like this, I find they don't stay on for very long but applying this over some Topshop's 'Call Me Queen Bee' Matt Lip Bullet looks so good!

Zoella Blissful Mistful

Zoella was one of the first youtubers I ever watched, so I bought this back when it was first released. I absolutely love the scent (it's the same for the other products in the range), and I've been using it so much more this month! So much in fact that it's almost all gone. But I think £8 is a good price for this, so I'll definitely be repurchasing. 

Yankee Candle // Cranberry Ice

This was one of my Christmas presents from my boyfriend, I was so happy to unwrap this as I am a little bit candle obsessed. This smells delicious as well, cranberry reminds me of winter so I always feel cosy when I'm burning this. 

Taylor Swift // 1989

Music wise, I've been so obsessed with Taylor Swift's latest album 1989. I'm sure you've heard a bunch of people saying how great this album is and they wouldn't be wrong. It's not very common that I love every song on an album but I do with this! My favourites are Style, How You Get The Girl and Blank Space. Would definitely recommend you to go give it a listen :)

Grimm

I was searching on Netflix a few weeks ago for a new series to become obsessed with amd came across Grimm. I had never heard of if before but thought I would try it out, and I'm so glad I did! If you like supernatural/detective based programmes or things like Vampire Diaries, you will love this. It's also quite funny in places and there are some really amazing characters. I made my boyfriend watch an episode with me and he loves it just as much as me, we've just finished season 2 so no spoilers please! 

Chocolate Frog // Harry Potter Studio Tour

Lastly, a chocolate frog! A trip to Harry Potter studio tour really was the highlight of January so felt right that I should include it in this post!
