Trip to Birmingham, seeing ATL & YMAS // ADITL

Hello everybody!

On 10th February, I met my friend Donna in Birmingham to see All Time Low and You Me At Six's co-headlining tour. We discovered the bands five years ago when we were fifteen, and became a little bit obsessed with them so when it was announced that they would be doing a tour together, we HAD to go!

Here's my make up and outfit for the day, I had to travel for a couple of hours from Bristol so I wanted to make sure I was comfortable as well as it being gig-appropriate. My scallop-edged top is from Topshop a couple of months ago, worn with a white Primark cami, dark grey New Look jeggins, my pair of Converse all-stars and a hair band from Urban Outfitters.

I absolutely love train journeys so a couple of hours to Birmingham was spent listening to music, revising for my driving theory test and jotting down some ideas for blog posts!

Before the gig, we looked around some shops at the Birmingham Bullring shopping centre. I had never been there before, and we spent quite a lot of time looking around Forever 21 and Victoria's Secret at things our student budget just couldn't handle. We headed to Pizza Express for dinner, and I had a mozzarella, tomato and pesto pizza which was delicious!

Then we headed over to the Genting arena! We got there when the support act, Walk The Moon, were half way through their set, they sounded so good, but neither of us had listened to them before so it was nice to hear something new. Definitely going to be finding them on iTunes later!

After Walk The Moon finished their set, All Time Low came on. As well as playing amazingly live, they had a bit of banter on stage with eachother and the audience which was so good! I'm sure they say this most shows but they said we were their favourite audience and how much they love playing in the UK, which of course everyone loved. Here are some pictures of All Time Low;

Then after an interval and stage change, You Me At Six came on. I was most excited to see them, they were my all time favourite band when I was younger. They were also so good, both bands perform live really well and obviously the whole audience was loving it. Josh said he had a broken ankle as well but it didn't stop him from jumping around the stage!

Unfortunately we had to leave before YMAS finished their set but I got to hear one of my favourites (Crash) live so I was very happy about that. It was definitely one of the best concerts I've ever been so!

Did any of you go to the Birmingham show too?
Hope you enjoyed this post! If you did, check out my last ADITL here!
